How is this Level 2 Award in Manual Handling Qualification Structured?
This qualification is made up of one mandatory unit and learners must successfully complete the assessment to achieve the qualification.

The qualification has a total qualification time of of 20 hours with a minimum guided learning hours of 10
How is the Manual Handling Course Assessed?
The manual handling is assessed in three parts
Practical observation
The practical assessment of learners for the qualification is completed throughout the course delivery.
Written/Oral Questioning
Learners are required to answer a series of questions ensuring their understanding of the theory content is sufficient to meet the required standard.
Multiple-choice examination
15 question that must be completed within 30 minutes. 9 out of 15 questions or more to achieve a pass.

How long does Level 2 Manual Handling Certificate Last?
All successful learners will be issued with a Level 2 Award in Manual Handling RQF Certificate which is valid for 3 years from date of issue. Learners are required to be 14 years of age prior to certification.
How long does a Level 2 Manual Handling Qualification Last?
This Level 2 Manual Handling qualification is valid for a period of 3 years, at which point learners will need to re-sit the course. However, the recommendation is that learners refresh their knowledge annually.
